Testimonials

The Dr. Lodato method of hypnotherapy has been used very effectively since 1967 in treating all types of emotional disorders, depression, anxiety and stress.

I would like to share with you a recent case treated over a short period of time in which a client was nice enough to write me a letter on her experience.  She has attended six sessions as of this letter and has since reported that she was able to drive long distance from her home by herself-something she has been unable to do in ten years.  Here is her letter, reproduced word for word:

"TO ANYONE WHO HAS EVER THOUGHT OF TRYING HYPNOSIS:

Hello, my name is Donna.  I began having problems with anxiety attacks several years ago, and as anyone who has ever had one can tell you, it's a pretty scary experience.  Anxiety can manifest itself in many ways such as dizziness, headaches, blurred vision, forgetfullness, back pain, confusion, irregular heart beat and panic attacks.  Prior to my first visit with Dr. Lodato I was experiencing all of the classic symptoms of anxiety.  My family doctor had put me on Zanax  and an antidepressant and sent me to see a cardiologist for an irrigular heart beat and he, in turn, put me on Lanoxin and Isoptin for tachacardia, as it's known in medical terms.  The end result was that I was now taking 4 drugs. My busy lifestyle and everyday worries continued and so did my anxiety and panic attacks.  I returned to my family doctor and he wanted to double my medication and send me back to my cardiologist.  I knew that this wasn't the answer for me and that I had to do something now.  I had read a few books on hypnosis and knew that it was finally getting recognition in the medical field.  I had read an article about Dr. Lodato in the Examiner some years ago.  I also had a distant relative who was an alcoholic, and after hypnotherapy with Dr. Lodato, never drank a drop again the rest of his life, a period of 15 years. I made the appointment and at this point was tliking Zanax 2 times a day but I had put off seeing my cardiologist for fear that he too would double my meds.  I felt pretty bad both physically and emotionally.  After my fITst session with Dr. Lodato I left the office feeling different, and he had given me a couple of tapes to listen to at home.  It didn't take me long to realize that the different feeling that I felt was calm.  It has been so long since I had any peace that I was in awe.  At first I didn't notice all the changes but I couldn't ignore the fact that I felt more comfortable around people and at peace with myself  The very day I left Dr. Lodato's office I stopped thinking about taking Zanax and days go by that I don't even take a half of one.  When t returned to my family doctor he was very pleased with my progress and admitted to using hypnosis an an intern during World War Two.  I explained to him that I didn't feel that I needed to take anything for anxiety if I wasn't anxious.  For the first time in years I'm free to be me. I honestly believe that hypnosis was my last hope for living a normal life.  Increasing the drugs wasn't the answer for lI)e.  I felt like I had no control over my life. I listen to my self hypnosis tapes that Dr. Lodato prepared for me at night and this is my time just for me that I take out of my busy shcedule to get back in touch with myself  You can't imagine how good it feels to be happy with yourself and the world around you.  I can't remember when I last felt this good. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Lodato for whatever ails you from anxiety, smoking cessation, weight loss, compulsive behavior, pain control, alcoholism 'and post traumatic stress disorders. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Lodato for giving back to me rriy sanity, my health and my self esteem ... my very life.  Again, thank you Dr. Lodato."  ~ Sincerely,

Dear  Dr.  Lodato:

Of course, you will not remember me, but your records will indicate that during the spring of 1985 (April and May, I believe) you assisted me with a smoking problem that I had had for at least fifty years.  Since, when I was a Chevrolet dealer in Northern New Jersey before retirement in 1979, I often wondered about certain clients of ours from whom we did not here after delivery of the car, I thought you may be interested in hearing of the success of our sessions.  Ihave not smoked a cigarette, or anything else for that matter, since our sessions were finalized. I have never had any desire to do so.  It does not matter to me whether or not people smoke in my vicinity; in restaurants, automobiles, or even in my home, if such is their disposition.  I simply have no interest or desire, much less compulsion, to resume the habit.  I have the feeling that I was a rather difficult case, since we had not only the standard five sessions and "two tapes, but you were kind enough to extend the sessions to seven, and provide two additional tapes, which it seems, were a bit harder hitting.

But the purpose of this note is to thank you for what you did for  me, and to tell you of the great satisfaction I now have as a non-smoker.  Sincerely,

Dear  Dr.  Lodato:

On behalf of the Pennsauken Police Department and particularly the Traffic Operations Division we wish to extend our sincerest expression of gratitude for your unselfish and beneficial assistance in our investigation of a hit and run accident involving Ptl. Dominic Pugliese.

Your willingness to cooperate and the unselfish manner in which you assisted affords us the knowledge that there are indeed many people, such as yourself, who care for their Police Officers, which is very reassuring.

Again our sincerest appreciation for your assistance and concern.

For and at the direction of Chief Nicholas  J.  Petitte

Respectfully,

Sgt. Joseph F. Hall  Traffic Operations
